The Concept of Graduate Quality Management of Prof. Dr. Hamka Muhammadiyah University Based on Maqasid of the Shari'ah Jasser Auda's Perspective

Abstract


This research aims to examine implementation Maqasid of the Shari'ah Jasser Auda's perspective on management quality graduates at the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (UHAMKA). By using the approach qualitative , research This integrate six feature systemic The Maqāsid syarī'ah proposed by Jasser Auda ( 1) ( Cognition: Al-Idrakiyah ) (2) Complete integrity ( Wholeness; Al-Kulliyah ) (3) Openness ( Openness; Al-Infitahiyah ) (4) ( Interrelated-Hierarchy; Al-Harakiriyah Al-Mu'tamadah Tabaduliyan ) (5) Multi-Dimensionality (Multidimensionality;Ta'addud Al-Ab'ad). While the last one is (6) Meaningfulness (Purposefulness; Al-Maqasidiyah) into the framework management quality graduate of education high. Data collected through interview deep with various stakeholders interest as well as analysis document official university, including tracer studies. Research results show that approach based on Maqasid of the Shari'ah This effective in improving competence academic, soft skills, and spiritual development of UHAMKA graduates . This research conclude that integration principles Maqāsid shari'ah in management quality education tall can produce graduates who do not only competent in a way academic, but also has high moral and spiritual integrity , so that they are ready to compete in the global job market.

Management quality graduate of refers to a series of principles and practices designed​ For ensure that the entire educational process , starting from design curriculum until evaluation results learning , directed For fulfil standard the quality that is set . This is covers effort improvement continuous improvement which involves all over stakeholders interest (Radiman et al., 2022)

Prof. Dr. Hamka Muhammadiyah University (UHAMKA) as one of the college high based on Islamic values has​ not quite enough answer big in printing graduates who do not only competent in a way academic , but also has high moral and spiritual integrity In an effort answer the world's challenges are increasingly complex , UHAMKA continues committed to developing draft management quality graduates who do not only achievement oriented​ academic, but also on formation character based on Maqasid Sharia.

 

RESEARCH METHOD

Approach qualitative chosen to understand in a way deep How values Maqasid Syariah Jasser Auda's perspective is integrated into practice management quality at UHAMKA. Qualitative methods allow researchers to capture perspectives , experiences and views from various stakeholders interests at the university, Vice Chancellor IV UHAMKA and the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau and the Development and Guidance Agency Student Affairs Career and students . Data collected through interview deep as well as analysis document the official university study tracer .

 

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

In 2020 , competencies and abilities Uhamka graduates include various ability base individual as well as skill special obtained​ from field knowledge certain . Capabilities field knowledge possessed​ Uhamka graduates in general originate from knowledge gained​ during the study period them in their respective study programs. In addition, Uhamka graduates also experience improvement ability soft skills , which are developing through various activities undertaken​ both inside and outside​ campus . Soft-skill This obtained through experience practical and interactive during the learning process at Uhamka. So there are five main focuses that are studied for Uhamka graduates , namely: (1) Graduate Academic Achievement Index (2) Current Graduate Existence (3) Suitability of Education Level with Job (4) Development of Integrity Values (5) Spiritual Development

Data regarding the Academic Achievement Index (GPA) is collected and compiled through Uhamka database search ( Study Tracer Documentation ) which provides description and description comprehensive about values and achievements academic graduate of year 2022

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Based on this data , Uhamka graduates in 2020 have an Achievement Index Cumulative (IPK) which is generally be in range standard between 3.4 to 3.49. Highest GPA among​ graduate of in 2022 reached 3.72 , while the lowest GPA is 3.2, as shown in the data above.

Then , the study next to be reviewed is spiritual guidance

 

This picture show that part big graduate of realize importance spiritual guidance for they in work and in life everyday . Only 1% of people said that spiritual formation provides low impact​ to integrity work them , while 85% said that That give very big impact to integrity work they .

University or College is​ place where graduates from No only to obtain knowledge academic , but also developing skills like thinking critical , communication , problem solving problems , and work team. In the world of work , skills This is very important . Successful graduates often complete their formal education with to obtain skills additional , training , or related certifications​ with the work they do want .

Study about university and college graduates tall is step important and concrete going to better understanding​ Good about various aspect education height and how matter That impact on individuals , society , economy and the world of work .

Research that uses approach Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah is very important For understanding and application Islamic principles in various aspect life . Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah refers to the purpose of life . or Meaning from more Islamic laws wide than just rule or action certain . Its meaning Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah covers all aspects and lines of life(Susanti, 2015)

Education with approach Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah has Lots benefits . Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah allows education customized with needs and context public and the times of the day This . Designed education based on Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah will more responsive and adaptive to demands and changes social with the right way with principles and teachings of Islam(Bahruddin, 2017)

The purpose of Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah is For promote welfare and prevention harm in various aspect life human . All aspect life both rituals (worship) and social (muamalah), including in Islamic teachings . Muamalah is human rules of the game in life social , while worship is necessary For guard connection man with the Creator still obedient . Every aspect life man has governed by the inherited religion of Islam through the Prophet Muhammad SAW, incl among them is education . Education must be capable deliver man to the benefits and usefulness that result happiness in this world and the hereafter (Fajri, 2022)

Jasser Auda's perspective in the view of Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah has a substance and essence that is very different from Usul Al-Fiqh, therefore to apply Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah as the philosophy of Islamic Law, it has a basis of thought (paradigm) using the philosophy of systems. Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah as Philosophy of Islamic Law: A Systems Approach," introducing approach systemic to understand Maqasid Shari'ah . Approach This aims to expand understanding We about Islamic law using the theory system . Auda explained that Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah must be understood through six feature interconnected system​ related

Namely Cognition ( Cognition: Al-Idrakiyah ) Islamic legal system. The complete integrity (Wholeness; Al-Kulliyah ) of the Islamic legal system. Openness (Openness; Al-Infitahiyah ) of the Islamic legal system, ( Interrelated-Hierarchy; Al-Harakiriyah Al-Mu'tamadah Tabaduliyan ) of Islamic law, Multi-Dimensionality (Multidimensionality; Ta'addud Al-Ab'ad ) of the Islamic legal system. While the last is Meaningfulness ( Purposefulness; Al-Maqasidiyah ) if these six principles are used as a basis for implementing Islamic law, then it will be clear that Maqāsid syarī'ah in Islamic law leads to justice, togetherness, harmony, tolerance and other benefits that can be felt by all mankind . And that is what is the inherent identity in the application of Maqāsid syarī'ah in the line of aspects of cases(Murti & Syah, 2021)

The purpose of this study is to study and investigate in depth the Maqāsid syarī'ah offered by Jasser Auda through the six analytical knives he provided. The six systems approach This used as method development that can used For build source Power quality human being high pass from Muhammadiyah College . Institution education and Muhammadiyah Higher Education functions as container and place For print generation next . Therefore that , the goal clear and understandable Islamic education measured must be noted and determined . This goal intended For to form individuals and communities who want to become Muslim scholars and graduates who are guided by sources The main principles of Islam are the Qur'an and Sunnah (Fauzan, 2022). This Maqasid will provide many benefits if practiced in the education and teaching system in the Muhammadiyah Higher Education environment, especially in Indonesia at this time.

Maqasid Sharia is concept in Islam that refers to the purpose or Meaning from laws Traditionally , Maqāsid​​ Sharia understood in context principle fiqh , where is the goal is to ensure that implementation Islamic laws can reach welfare and avoidance damage in life human beings . However, the modern perspective offered by thinkers as Jasser Auda developed draft This so that beyond limitations principle fiqh and relating it with various aspect life, including in the field education height and quality graduate of.

Based on the research results can concluded that draft management quality graduates at UHAMKA with do approach based on Maqasid of the Shari'ah Jasser Auda's perspective , approach systemic to understand Maqāsid Al-Syarī'ah .
